Justified

Justified

Romans 5;9

Justified-to be declared righteous, by His blood-through His violent, substitutionary death.  Christ bore the full fury of God’s wrath in the believing sinner’s place, and there is none left for him (see Romans 8:1, and 1 Thessalonians 1:10; 5:9).

Commentary from the MacArthur study Bible, notes for Romans 3:24; 5:9.

The Parable of the Pharisee and the Tax Collector:

…because everyone who exalts

himself will be humbled,

but the one who humbles himself

will be exalted.

Luke 18:14b

Obedience to Christ always involves a change of attitude.  When we are converted, a battle begins inside us as Satan tries to keep us from changing.  I am all too familiar with this part of the journey.  Our attitudes powerfully influence our behavior.  Which of your attitudes would Jesus highlight as needing change?  If you’re having trouble doing right in an area of your life, perhaps you need a change of attitude.
