The Kress building-remodeling AND adding about 14 apartments.
Across the street from the Winter Building, a few doors down from the Kress Building.
For more doors see Norm’s blog and click on his Thursday Doors entry. Other entries can be added through the blue link at the end of his post.
Very sharp, clear and vivid photos! Some of which I have seen in person…

Thank you! I’ve been trying really hard to get the images clearer. Also I just noticed yesterday, there is a front and basically identical backside to that Kress building on another street. They are refurbishing/remodeling all of it. Thanks for viewing and your comments!

I love that last building, but they’re all great.

Thank you! I tried to get the finials at the top, and could not get all of the (very narrow, unique) doors too
But the ornamentation is amazing I agree! That building has some history, which I didn’t post, but at this point is has been remodeled and is used (leased) for events. I haven’t been in it but it’s supposed to be really beautiful, and with a lot (or all) of the original decor. Most of the buildings here that are remodeled usually the original decor stays for the remodel if it isn’t damaged by the elements over time. Thanks so much for your comment and for stopping by!

I’m intrigued by the Source of the South. Source of what?

I wondered that since I first noticed the building! It it in an old ‘industrial park’ I guess, where everything is just sitting and closed. A few of the buildings are used for warehousing, but not producing anything, as they once did. I couldn’t find anything on that building, or the business name
I’m guessing something was produced there that was maybe a regional (Southern) supplier. But the building doesn’t look like an industrial building firstly, and second it does not have a warehouse look as all of the other buildings around it.

It looks a little like a cross between a warehouse and a cinema but makes a good photo in any case.
